Hello, beautiful soul.

I'm Aga, the Wedding & Events Manager here at Donato.

Firstly... congratulations!

If you've found yourself here, I'm guessing one of two things has happened. Either you've recently got engaged (eeeeek... congratulations!) or you're right in the middle of planning your wedding and trying to work out what on earth comes next.

Trust me, you're not alone. One of the questions I get asked almost every single week is...

"Aga... what actually happens after we enquire?"

So, I thought I'd answer it here. Let's be honest... you've probably got absolutely no idea what comes next. And that's completely okay!

After all, unless you've planned a wedding before, you're navigating something completely new. And if this is your second trip down the aisle... well, you might already be a bit of an expert! 😉

Either way, I've got you. My job is to make the planning process feel exciting, enjoyable and as stress free as possible, so let's walk through what happens from the moment you enquire right through to the moment you're dancing the night away.

It all starts with a simple hello.

Once you send through an enquiry, I'll be the one replying to your email. If you've included your preferred wedding date, I'll check whether it's available and send you our Wedding Information Guide.

I've put a lot of love into creating this guide because I wanted it to answer as many questions as possible before you even step through our doors.

Inside you'll find our wedding packages, what's included, optional upgrades and information about all the different spaces throughout Donato, so you can start imagining what your wedding day could look like.

Then comes my favourite part...

Meeting you! This is honestly one of my favourite parts of the whole process because I finally get to put faces to names. I get to hear your story, your ideas and everything you've been dreaming up for your wedding day.

You'll get to see the venue, ask me absolutely anything (I promise there are no silly questions!) and decide whether Donato feels like the perfect fit for you.

And don't worry, there's never any pressure from me. I genuinely want every couple to leave feeling informed, excited and confident in whatever decision they make.

Ready to make it official?

Once you've decided to celebrate with us, we'll lock in your date and the fun really begins.

I'll send you everything you need to get started, including your booking deposit tax invoice, planning documents, an initial floor plan based on your estimated guest numbers and all the resources you'll need to stay organised throughout the planning process.

Here's something you'll quickly learn about me...

I don't believe there's a right or wrong way to plan a wedding. Some couples arrive with colour coded spreadsheets, Pinterest boards and every supplier already booked. Others walk in, smile and say...

"Aga... help us!"

Honestly? I love both. Some couples simply need a beautiful venue. Others would love recommendations for cake suppliers, florists, MC’s and DJs, stylists, entertainers and all those little extras that help bring a wedding to life.

However involved you'd like me to be, that's exactly how involved I'll be. Think of me as your wedding wing woman.

Around six months before your wedding we'll catch up again, go through everything together and make sure you're feeling excited rather than overwhelmed.

Before the big day...

We'll finalise your timeline, seating plan, dietary requirements, all your extras and all those little finishing touches that help your wedding day run seamlessly.

Whenever possible, we'll also organise a bump-in time before your wedding so you can see the room come together, add your personal touches and soak it all in before your guests arrive.

And then...

The day you've been dreaming about finally arrives. By this point, all the planning is done.

Our Donato team will be quietly working behind the scenes, following your personalised run sheet, coordinating with your suppliers and making sure everything flows exactly as planned.

By the time your wedding day rolls around, my job is pretty simple. I want you to forget I'm even working.

I want you laughing with your bridal party. Dancing with your family and friends. Sneaking off for sunset photos in our front garden (perfect if you are booking a summer wedding).

Eating your dinner (yes... please eat your dinner! 😂).

And making memories you'll be talking about for years to come. Because trust me... your wedding night goes by so much faster than you think.

So, take a deep breath. Look around the room. Take it all in. Hold your new hubby or wifey and soak up every single second. And the logistics? Leave those to us.
